Runs and Places

I Published My First Book – Southern Fried Running

I know I mentioned this to a few people while it was a work in progress but it’s finally done – I’ve published my first book!!!

And you can have a free copy of it if you want (read on…).

Southern Fried Running

Southern Fried Running is the first of a series of travel guides for runners that I’m writing.  This one focuses on the Southeastern United States.

I interviewed several race directors and city officials for some of the best races in the region.  Then I combined the interview results with some of my own personal stories to put together info about the races themselves along with where to go and what to do while you’re in town if you travel for one of them and are only planning on being there for a weekend.

I also added a chapter with some tips that cover about how I can afford to travel for races as often as I do without spending a ton of money. (something I get asked about fairly frequently).

If you want a copy, you can buy it on Amazon ($4.99 for paperback or $1.99 for the Kindle version)…. Or better yet, you can use the form on the right to subscribe to this blog and get it for free (or if you’re reading this on a mobile device, scroll all the way down and the form will be at the bottom).  After you click the subscribe button, the thank you page will have a link to where you can download a free electronic copy.

The only thing I would ask for in return is your honest feedback after you finish reading it.  This is my first book and I’m not really looking to make a lot of money for writing it (in fact, the prices I listed it for are the lowest rates Amazon would let me charge for it based on the length, number of pictures, etc…) My goal is to continually improve every book that I write after this one, so I’m more interested in hearing what you liked about it and what you didn’t.

Hope you enjoy it!
